Working Together for Southwest Mississippi
The concept for this website was a team effort. After hearing employers express frustration in finding the right employees, workforce training specialist, Janice McKellar envisioned a website with a portal that would help match local talent to positions open in Southwest Mississippi. Janice works at the Southwest Mississippi Workforce Training Center and provides a variety of services to help find the best employee/employer match through testing and other screening. Janice is part of the Walthall Aspire Team, and the development of this website has become one of the team’s many projects. Other members include Oliver Bates, Ryan Bruhl, Richard Hay, Mark Holmes, Chad Parish, Kyle Johnson and Pam Keaton.

Helping Identify Potential
The WorkKeys tests are meant to measure an individual’s skill level in each of the three skill areas: reading for information, applied mathematics and locating information. The WorkKeys tests are not aptitude tests; they are achievement tests.
